Treasuring the present as a leader means being able to bring others to strive toward a common goal and to share mutual understanding. Having successful candid converstations is a necessary component of this kind of authentic leadership.

Stephen Giordano, President and Founder of Day One Group, teaches how to avoid either bailing on converstations that need to happen or bruising others through aggression in his talk entitled “Treasuring the Present.” Stephen’s talk was part of the Student Leadership Summit at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
