Fr. Joseph Chinnici, OFM, President Emeritus of the Franciscan School of Theology, identifies eight characteristics of Franciscan intellectual tradition, as embodied in the thought of John Duns Scotus, and discusses the implications of these characteristics in the Franciscan approach to education in his talk entitled “Cultural Openings: The Franciscan Intellectual and Educational Mission.” Fr. Chinnici’s talk was sponsored by the Theology Department at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
