In this Insight, Dr. Benjamin Wiker, Associate Professor of Political Science and Human Life Studies at Franciscan University of Steubenville and author of “In Defense of Nature: The Catholic Unity of Environmental, Economic, and Moral Ecology,” argues that both the left, demanding enviromental protections, and the right, defending human dignity, are making the case that nature is intrinsically ordered and its inherent dignity should be protected and hopes that his book can help bring people together to embrace a fuller natural and moral ecology.
