Post-Abortion Trauma and Healing

The culture promises women that abortion is the solution to a problem. But many ultimately discover that abortion doesn’t solve problems; it creates them. Dr. Martha Shuping, a psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience working with post-abortive women, will explain how pastors, counselors, doctors, and the Catholic community can help those women as they struggle through the aftermath of an abortion.
Dr. Shuping, author of The Four Steps to Healing, will discuss this complex issue with host Michael Hernon, vice president of Advancement at Franciscan University, and panelists Dr. Regis Martin and Dr. Scott Hahn of Franciscan University’s Theology Department, and offer guidance on restoring key relationships broken by abortion.
